The gadget won’t install. I get a zip package and I extract it, but can’t install it …. please advise

  2. Everett says:

I cannot install. There is no .gadget file. Please provide better instructions on how to install. Many thanks, Everett Fineran

  3. Kevin says:

Nice start. More important than marking done…Gadget needs to be able to filter to show only critical tasks such as hotlist, due today, or starred. A gadget is impractical to show larger lists. Also, refresh doesn’t seem to work. Of course, adding a task would be nice too. Thanks for publishing this.

  5. Chris says:

I plan to update the gadget in the very near future as I plan to start utilizing it more.
    I’ll keep you all posted.

Google Labs has a “Add any gadget by URL” option. What URL would I use to add this gadget to my google page?

  7. Steve Nisbet says:

    Chris,
installs just fine, don’t know what all the other issues people had were, works fine, look forward to being able to click a thing done, and maybe alter the way tasks are displayed, great work. best wishes with the project

  8. Oliver says:

Looks promising. Some of my thoughts:
    - The copyright notice seems a bit unnecessary. Clutters the view.
    - Just show a filtered list (like hotlist)
    - Table view (due dates)

Place the files in the zip file into the following:

    C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\Toodledo Gadget.gadget\

Right-click on the Sidebar to add gadgets and you’ll see it. The folder filename needs to match the in the xml file.

Following your instructions, I was easily able to get the gadget to load… However, I am unable to log on. Using the gadget settings, I input my email address and password, but the gadget says that my Username and/or password is incorrect.

I have triple-checked that I am using the correct credentials by logging into the actual Toodledo site.

  13. Sheila says:

I am having the same problem as far as the gadget accepting my user name and password. Any suggestions. Thanks in Advance!

  14. Christophe says:

Using Firefox 3 on Vista 64, I couldn’t install the gadget when clicking the link, and choosing “Open with Windows Sidebar”.

I had to right click the link, save the file, and double click the gadget file to finally install it.

  15. Bryan says:

Great start but like everyone has said it has issues and needs more functionality to make it useful.

One question I had is.. have you stopped working on this? Seems like there is a lot of feedback but no responses from you.

  16. Chris says:

I would like to go back and add to it some more, especially as I’ve seen an increase of people interested in it.
