No doubt you blog savvy out there have heard of Windows Live Writer, its a WYSIWIG editor for blog writing brought to you by your favorite mega corporation Microsoft. It has just been released and I urge you to at least give it a try.
I’d figured I’d give it a go myself, especially since my problems with using Firefox 2.0 to write my blog entries and kept losing them thanks to crashes. I figured at least in theory that using a blog editor app on my local machine might allow me a little more stability and also provide me with tools that I won’t necessarily have available to me through the web interface.
The good thing is that you can use Windows Live Writer for most blogs that are out there, it uses the standard RSD to be able to discover your blog type and figure out how to deal with it. It also allows you to easily insert pictures and maps, and of course comes with the other standard editor type features, like spell checking, formatting and all that fun stuff.
I’ll keep you posted on what I think of it as I continue to use it, but so far I like it, I think because its look and feel is very close to Microsoft Office, which I’ve always liked, and I have to confess it runs on Windows and I’m a big fan of Microsoft Windows.

I’m going to give it a try. Thanks!
Same here. Fromt the way you reviewed it, I must try it. Thanks for sharing this
Glad to hear it, as I said I’ve only been using it for a day, but so far so good.
I’ve tried it and love it! It makes posting pics a breeze (I always have to resize my pics before using imagebrowser plugin in Wordpress). And it’s nice to be able to work on a post without having to open a web browser and log in to wordpress. Thanks for the tip!
